This sculpture is located on the man-made island of Punta Pacifica, just off the coast of Panama City. It contains elements that refer to the marine life in the immediate vicinity of the islands like the rock, the shell, the whale and the gulf . Ocean Reef I stands at an impressive height of 13.75 meters and weighs a substantial 35 tons. The creation of this sculpture was commissioned by Royal Boskalis as a gift for the island's developer.
