Kuijer designed and created 13 concrete sculptures for the Veilinghaven area in Utrecht, commissioned by Bouwfonds – ASR (now BPD). These sculptures, ranging from a large free-standing piece by the Merwedekanaal to smaller sculptures on the quay wall, and cornerstone sculptures integrated into the harbor's surrounding quay wall. They mark the entrances to the harbor area. The project was a collaborative effort, with residents contributing more than 30 personal objects that were incorporated into the abstract sculptures.
